From the mouth of babes: Ma Winnie's great-grandchildren wish her farewell

Tributes have poured in for the struggle veteran Winnie Madikizela-Mandela. Her memorial service was held at in Soweto on Wednesday.

Included in the tributes were her grandchildren who gave a deeply moving message for the 'Mother of the Nation'.

Grandson Bambatha Mandela said that his mother was a guiding light in his life and made a huge impact.

Briefly.co.za learned that Bambatha lashed out at those who spoke ill of the veteran and scolded them for behaving like 'ungrateful children' according to enca.com.

The service was held in Orlando Stadium in the township she called home. The Soweto Gospel Choir provided musical entertainment and ensured a proper send off for the struggle veteran.

The 40,000-seater stadium was fulled to capacity and several overflow areas were needed to handle the huge crowds.
