Bafana Bafana begin their 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualification campaign against Guinea on Saturday, 26 September, with Pitso Mosimane taking charge of his first competitive match since returning as head coach.
The Group D clash will be played at Orlando Stadium in Soweto, with kick-off confirmed for 15:00 South African time. The Guinean Football Federation confirmed that CAF approved the revised 15:00 local kick-off. SAFA's fixture listing also carries the 15:00 start time.

South African fans will be able to watch the match live on SABC 1. The fixture is also listed on SABC's digital platforms, although viewers should check the broadcaster's schedule closer to kick-off for streaming availability.

DStv viewers should note that SuperSport's current fixture page lists the match but does not yet show a confirmed SuperSport channel, instead displaying the broadcast information as TBC.
For fans attending the match, SAFA has confirmed Orlando Stadium as the venue. Adult tickets are priced at R100, while tickets for children under 12 cost R40.

What to expect from Mosimane's Bafana
The Guinea clash marks the start of Mosimane's second spell in charge of Bafana Bafana.
Mosimane has largely retained the core of the squad that represented South Africa at the 2026 FIFA World Cup while introducing five uncapped players to the national team. They are Lebone Seema, Brooklyn Poggenpoel, Yanela Mbuthuma, Puso Dithejane and Tashreeq Matthews.
Ronwen Williams remains the leading goalkeeper, while Teboho Mokoena is among the experienced midfield options. Relebohile Mofokeng, Oswin Appollis, Iqraam Rayners and Thapelo Maseko are among the attacking players available to Mosimane.
Guinea will provide the first test of the new era. The visitors have also assembled an experienced squad, adding further interest to Saturday's encounter.
The match is particularly significant because Kenya, one of the Group D teams, automatically qualifies as a co-host of AFCON 2027. CAF says only the highest-placed team among the remaining three nations will qualify from the group.
After Guinea, Bafana travel to Cairo to face Eritrea on 30 September before meeting Egypt in a friendly on 4 October.
