- A local DJ was the angel that a pregnant woman in need was desperately hoping for
- She was in labour and he came to her rescue, helping her deliver her child on the side of the street
- It was a special night for everyone involved.
On 8 August, a local DJ had an experience that is certain to leave a lasting - but good - mark on him.
GoodThingsGuy reported that DJ Jazzy D, or the GrooveMaster as he loves to be called, helped a woman in labour bring her child into this world safely.
The only hiccup was that they did so on the side of a street just after 10pm at night.
The DJ took to Facebook to share his experience with Mzansi, and Briefly.co.za has the highlights here:
"Last week Thursday 8th August 22h08 I was on my way to my event and when I saw this car standing on the side of the road with 2 guys running in all sorts of directions."
"I also saw someone sitting on a blanket on the side of the car. It was a cold night at about 13 degrees, I rolled down my window and asked the gentleman if they have a problem and he told me my wife is having a baby.
"I reversed my car not thinking if this could be a hijack situation but ran to the woman and could hear a baby crying."
At this point, the muso noticed that the woman was already in labour - the baby's head was out.
He added that he admired the mother for handling the pain so well while her husband and their friend was so scared.
"I sat down next to the lady and just comforted her and within seconds the baby was born. After the whole ordeal, I felt so much warmth, love, and happiness, It felt like God waved a magic wand over me showing me how wonderful life can be."
What a tale to tell! Check out this video DJ Jazzy shared that was captured after the birth:
