Muso Cassper on switching to Amapiano, what he dislikes about hip-hop

Cassper Nyovest has been dabbling in different styles of music, keeping his sound very versatile.

This left his fans confused over whether he is still a hip-hop artist or not and he decided to open up about what he's been up to musically.

Earlier, Briefly.co.za reported that Cassper was very pleased to find out that many people only got into hip-hop because of him.

As for why he started making Amapiano - the muso says it's what people want to hear and the biggest sound right now.

"It’s the biggest Sound in South Africa right now. That’s what the people want to hear!!! It killed everything!!!! I love it!!! Just purely authentic South African music!!!"

Fans who are worried about Cassper leaving hip-hop behind can rest assured that he'll return to it one day.

Cassper explained that he still loves the genre, but the politics got to him.

"Don’t get it twisted, I still love Hip Hop music. I just hate the politics. Needed the break. Will be back one day. With a Bang!"
