One of South Africa's favourite couples, Khaya Mthethwa and Ntandoyenkosi Mthethwa, are no longer together.

The couple has called it quits on their marriage and Ntando shared the news on social media.

This comes after the pair toasted to their second year of marriage just 20 days ago. Although the couple shared shout-outs to each other on social media, all was not well with their relationship.

In her post, Ntando spoke about her marriage to Khaya and becoming a mother to their son. According to her, they made a mutual decision to end their marriage.

"In Dec 2017 my husband Khaya Mthethwa and I got married and we were soon blessed with a handsome bubbly son.
"In the last few days, my husband and I have had in-depth discussions about our marriage and our young family challenges. Yesterday we met my in-laws and informed them of our mutual decision for us to amicably file for divorce."

Fans were very sad to learn about this development but comments were disabled, so instead, they liked the post to show their support.

Briefly.co.za reported almost a year ago that Khaya and Ntando welcomed baby Oyinkosi into the world.

Khanya shared a snap of his baby's tiny fingers holding his hand on Instagram, revealing the birth of his pride and joy. He also thanked and praised his wife Ntando for birthing that baby.

"Yesterday I experienced a love I never knew existed! Nyambose, Dingiswayo siyakwamukela. @mthethwa_ntando I have no words to thank you Sthandwa Sami. Ngiyabonga."

The couple only revealed their pregnancy on social media in December 2018. Read more:
