There are times when one has to take the step and draw the line, just as Kim Kardashian did recently.
Just to update all who don’t know, when it comes to giving gifts, the Kardashian-Jenner clan do it with extravagant style. It's certainly go big or go home for this family.
Briefly.co.za learnt that the Kardashian star revealed on Friday, 27 December that she and her hubby, Kanye West, had two items from the late Michael Jackson’s closet which they had gifted to their 6-year-old daughter North West. This jewel-adorned black velvet jacket was worn by the famous singer with his “smooth criminal” hat. This stunning Christmas gift was purchased through Julien’s Auction House.

The late rock ‘n roll legend wore this exact jacket to Elizabeth Taylor’s 65th birthday party and also the 50th Annual Cannes Film Festival. The jacket was sold for $65 625 (R920k). The famous “Smooth Criminal” fedora went for $56 250 (R790k).
The story did not end here, according to an article published by Refinery 29 on 30 December. The article claimed that North had received more than just that from her mom and dad.
It went on to allege that Kim and Kanye had also given their daughter the shirt that President John F. Kennedy was wearing the day he was assassinated. The article has since been edited by Refinery 29 and no longer contains this information.
It did not take Kim long, once she had got wind of the allegations, to shut them down.
