From Chevy to G-Wagon: Local man shows off how he ended 2019

- A man took to social media to show off how he started the year versus how he'll end it

- The tweep revealed he upgraded from a Chev bakkie to a G-Wagon

- However, not everyone was buying the post and one lady said he's probably trolling social media users

On Tuesday, a social media user who goes by the Twitter handle Daddy Precise, aka @mrbigzie, showed off how he ended 2019 compared to how he started it.

Daddy Precise shared two photos - one allegedly showing the vehicle he drove at the beginning of the end versus the expensive whip he's driving out of 2019.

According to the tweep, he drove a small bakkie at the start of 2019 but has since upgraded to a Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon, which retails for about R2.7 million brand-new, depending on the specifications and model.

The post reached thousands of South Africans - who were left divided. Some were inspired by the car goals while others had questions.

However, one lady, who was simply identified as @Ke_Neo_M, revealed the post might be a bit misleading.

In one of her comments, @Ke_Neo_M wrote:

"Beginning of 2019?? What about the other Benzes y'all were driving beginning of this year? Haibo bhuti..."

She then added:

On Monday, Briefly.co.za reported on another man who gushed about the way he'll be closing off 2019.

The social media user revealed that despite the challenges, he managed to build a home for himself.

He called the house his "proudest project" and the post went viral, inspiring South Africans.
