Mzansi media personality Katlego Maboe is turning 33 years old today. The infamous TV presenter is celebrating his birthday on Thursday, 29 October just a few days after he was dragged on social media for cheating on his partner and baby mama Monique Muller.

Despite all the negative publicity he recently endured, Katlego remains one of the most talented TV presenters that Mzansi has produced. The hard-working star is not just good in front of cameras but he also has an amazing voice.

Katlego Moswane Maboe was born in Itsoseng, a township near Lichtenburg, North West. Even though he was born in Itsoseng, Katlego grew up in the township of Ikageng, near Potchefstroom.

2. Education

Katlego matriculated from Potchefstroom High School for Boys in 2004. He went on to study at the North-West University where he completed a Bachelor's degree in Chartered Accounting in 2017. Katlego did not let fame get into the way of his education and he made sure that he completes his degree.

3. Music career

The star has been singing from a very young age. He became a member of North West Children's Choir in 1998 while attending Potchefstroom Central School. He joined an acapella group named Flip a Coin while studying at the North-West University. He was a beatboxer and vocalist for the group. Katlego and the group dropped three albums together.

4. TV career

Katlego made his television debut in 2009 on Afrikaans lifestyle show DEKAT. He then went on to co-host 50/50 before landing a gig as a host of Expresso on SABC 3 when the show officially launched back in October 2010. He has also hosted Strictly Come Dancing South Africa and Tropika Island of Treasure.

5. Awards

The TV host, singer and accountant was awarded the Best TV Presenter Award at the South African Film and Television Awards in 2015. He also scooped the same award in 2016. This definitely proved that Katlego has major skills when it comes to being in front of the camera.

In other entertainment news, Briefly.co.za reported that Vin Diesel has posted his first TikTok video. What makes the video super special is that the US action movie star is jamming to South Africa's Brenda Fassie's song Vulindlela.

The superstar is vibing with a Nigerian sister @itsjustnifee in the epic video. The Fast & Furious film series actor told his followers on Instagram that he was introduced to Brenda Fassie's classic two years ago when he was in Mzansi to film his movie titled Bloodshot.

He said it was his mother's birthday when the crew blasted the song and "lifted my spirit through the roof". He decided to bust a move to the song because his mom celebrated her birthday a few days ago.
