- After breaking up with her boyfriend in June 2020, the beauty was not going to let her dream wedding day, Halloween, pass
- The 35-year-old planned the whole event and even said her vows and kissed her reflection in the mirror
A woman decided to marry herself after breaking up with her fiancé just four months before the two got married.
Meg Taylor Morrison said "yes" to herself at a beautiful event attended by friends and family on Halloween 2020, which was always her dream wedding day.
The lady from Atlanta, Georgia US, broke up with her boyfriend in June 2020, but the two had already started plans for marriage and she was not backing down.
According to Daily Mail, the 35-year-old had learnt a lot about self-marriage ceremonies and decided to go ahead and give herself the wedding she always dreamt of.
Meg ordered a custom-made cake, chose a nice dress and even bought a diamond ring that she would eventually put on herself.
The only worry on her mind was how people were going to look at it and if they would see her as a narcissist or someone compensating for her breakup.
Meg went ahead and held her wedding at an Airbnb in Colorado which was attended by 10 of her closest friends and family with many regulations in place amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
She read her vows, accepted her wedding ring and even kissed a reflection of herself in a mirror to seal the whole shebang.
Meg and her guests held an after-party at the rented home and ordered in food as they dance and celebrated her big day.
She said her wedding was an act of self-love and felt she needed no one else to get married. Whoever got triggered, she was very okay with it.
