Award-winning satirist Lesego Tlhabi took to social media to talk about an unfortunate incident that really made her upset. Lesego has been cast in a new show and was excited to go to her wardrobe fitting but was left with a sour taste in her mouth.
Lesego went on Twitter to share her experience and she wasn't feeling good about what had happened. Lesego said that she went to a famous designer and she didn't get a warm reception.
"Does he not then declare very loudly in the store after a failed try-on that he has nothing for me and then uses words like “fatty boom boom” to describe how I’d look in the designs," she said.
She then expressed that when it comes to fatphobia, body-shaming is different from other forms of it. Lesego said that she was made to feel like she was less than nothing because of her body.
Lesego said that she was extremely hurt by the entire thing and Mzansi social media users took to the comments section to comfort her.

"He isn't a 'designer' if he cannot design for all bodies. Screw him."

"It's disgusting what you went through, there are no other words for it. I'm so sorry beautiful."
@zandyleebee commented:
"I am so sorry you went through that babes. There are some amazing designers who appreciate and love full-figured women."
In similar news, Briefly.co.za reported that Simphiwe Dana got slammed for "skinny-shaming" peeps online. Mzansi singer Simphiwe Dana got dragged on social media for body shaming.
This all took place when social media and body-positive influencer Thickleeyonce spoke about having cravings for junk food. Thickleeyonce found it annoying that when people who are of a slimmer build crave junk food, it doesn't come with any scrutiny.
“I see skinny people tweeting about eating KFC for breakfast. No one will say anything about their health. But let me talk about craving chocolate at 8am, then everyone is a doctor who is worried about my health. Please. Gtfoh,” she said.
