SOUTH AFRICA — Rental income and commercial property assets feature heavily in the financial disclosures made by ANC Member of Parliament Supra Mahumapelo in Parliament’s Register of Members’ Interests for 30 June 2026.

The annual report, published by the Office of the Registrar of Members’ Interests and monitored by the parliamentary Joint Committee on Ethics and Members’ Interests, details Mahumapelo’s ownership of 24 properties across South Africa. Primary concentrations are located within the North West province, along with assets in Gauteng. His holdings comprise 12 properties in Mahikeng, a 3,000-square-metre business stand on Vryburg Road, and a business tourism lodge in Tontonyane Village.

Supra Mahumapelo lists residential and commercial land holdings

Further declarations include two properties each in Potchefstroom, Rustenburg, and Atamelang Township. Mahumapelo also holds a residential unit and vacant land in Hartebeestpoortdam, with matching holdings in Moruleng. Additional entries cover an 89-hectare residential property in Delareyville and an 89-hectare vacant plot along Botswana Road in Ramatlabama. He disclosed receiving rental income from several of the residential sites.

The annual disclosure process requires members of the National Assembly and National Council of Provinces to list financial interests to promote transparency, mitigate conflicts of interest, and reinforce public trust. Outside his property declarations, Mahumapelo is a gospel and cultural music performer who currently chairs the Portfolio Committee on International Relations and Cooperation, having previously chaired the Portfolio Committee on Tourism and served as North West Premier from May 2014 until May 2018.
