Tributes Pour in as Mzansi Mourns Loss of King Goodwill Zwelithini

Early this morning King Goodwill Zwelithini died in hospital while battling complications brought along by diabetes. A statement released by the royal family shared the news online with South Africans.
In the statement, Prince Buthelezi who wrote the statement on behalf of the royal family, also thanked South Africans for keeping Zwelthini in their prayers after he was admitted to hospital over a week ago.

Briefly.co.za earlier reported that King Goodwill Zwelithini ka Bhekuzulu, King of the Zulu Nation, has passed on early this Friday morning after succumbing to his battle with diabetes, which he has been fighting for over a week while in hospital.
IFP founder and traditional prime minister to the Zulu monarch, Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi, shared a statement that revealed the passing of the Zulu king, which took place while he was still in hospital.
“Tragically, while still in hospital, His Majesty’s health took a turn for the worse and he subsequently passed away in the early hours of this morning.”
