Skeem Saam actors are some of the most famous people in Mzansi as the telenovela is one of the leading shows on SABC 1.
The talented star-studded cast of the soapie's salaries have been reportedly revealed. Their salaries are calculated according to the number of scenes they appear in and their roles in the show.
As expected, the actors with leading roles take home more than those who are supporting actors and don't appear in the show on a daily basis.
iHarare reports that veteran actress Shoki Sebotsana, who plays the role of Celia Kunutu, is one of the highest-paid staff in the telenovela. According to ZAlebs, iHarare reported that Shoki gets paid between R35 000 and R50 000 per month.
The publication also reported that Meikie, MaNtuli, John and Lelo get paid between R30 000 and R40 000.
Leeto, Rachel, Tbose, Marothi and Leshole's salaries range from R20 000 to R30 000 on a monthly basis. Other actors, including supporting actors, earn about R15 000 to R25 000 monthly.
In related news, Briefly.co.za reported that Skeem Saam actress Makgofe Moagi celebrated her 42nd birthday on Sunday, 7 March. The stunner, who plays the role of Charity Ramabu in the popular soapie, took to Twitter to share what her birth date means to her.
"Born on the day of a number that represents completion and perfection. What are we doing today?! It’s my birthday after all!"
