Sizwe Dhlomo: A Look at How the Rich Mzansi Celeb Struck Gold

Sizwe Dhlomo was once a TV presenter who graced our screens from time to time. Today, the media personality is an affluent media mogul with interests in business and property development. Many have wondered how the celeb managed to flip his presenter coins into an empire worth millions. Briefly News takes a look at just how he may have done it.

1. Radio presenting

Sizwe began his career at YFM, where he spent less than two years before he moved to 947. Dhlomo then moved Radio 702, which became where he rose to gain the fame he enjoys today. In 2020, he returned to Kaya FM, where he remains.

2. TV presenting

Even before radio, many will remember that Sizwe was on SABC’s Live, where he worked with Bonang Matheba and Minnie Dlamini until 2011.

3. Sizwe the farmer

Sizwe owns a large farm that originally belonged to his family. He has established a farming business dealing with eucalyptus Smithii leaves. The celeb has also bragged about owning a French horse worth almost R40 000. He also owns other animals.

4. Property and real estate

Sizwe once claimed that he owned a mountain of his own, like American rapper Kanye West. He said that he gave some part of his land for rent to cellular networks for cellphone towers.

In 2012, reports had it that he founded Scooters Pizza Ferndale, a restaurant in South Africa. Since then, nothing further has been said about it. He has also mentioned that he would like to open his own restaurant and lodge soon.

5. Inheritance

A large chunk of his wealth comes from an inheritance. Sizwe’s father is a wealthy businessman and landowner, however it is not clear how much of that was passed on to Sizwe.

Meanwhile, Briefly News previously reported that Sizwe Dhlomo has taken to social media to show off his rides. The media personality took to Twitter on Tuesday, 15 December and posted a snap of his huge garage.

Among the cars that Briefly News saw in the pic were a Mercedes Benz S Class, a Range Rover, a Nissan NP 200 and a motorbike, among others.

The radio and TV host has been working hard to make sure that he lives a "soft life". He has been a TV presenter and a radio host from a very young age. Sizwe captioned his post: "Modes."
