DJ Maphorisa still loves Gqom music. The Amapiano music producer took to social media recently to show love to the music genre that is very popular in Durban.
Phori used to produce Ggom music before he jumped on the Amapiano bandwagon. He released dope Gqom bangers when he was still part of the Gqom movement.
He took to Twitter on Sunday, 18 April and shared a video of his favourite collaborator Kabza De Small getting down to Ggom music.
Madumane shared that DJ Dlala Thukzin, who is a Gqom producer from Durban, was playing at the event where Kabza was seen enyoying the sounds of Gqom. Phori captioned his post:
"Gqom is too nice in Durbs, Dlala Thukzin."

In related news, Briefly News previously reported that Maphorisa opened up on why he's not making Gqom music anymore. Maphorisa has been working hard and it paid off - the muso and producer is a huge favourite with South Africans.
Despite his new success - he even managed to spark Mzansi's first challenge of 2020 - many of his fans miss the Gqom music he used to make. DJ Maphorisa has been doing awesome things in the Amapiano genre.
Along with Kabza De Small, he got the country grooving in all seriousness. On the Gqom front though, he went quiet. Briefly News noticed that Maphorisa interacted with a fan and revealed the real reason why he moved away from Gqom.
Apparently, it's because Durban producers and DJs felt he should be focused on Amapiano - Gqom is a Durbs thing.
