In related news, Briefly News previously reported that Maphorisa opened up on why he's not making Gqom music anymore. Maphorisa has been working hard and it paid off - the muso and producer is a huge favourite with South Africans.

Despite his new success - he even managed to spark Mzansi's first challenge of 2020 - many of his fans miss the Gqom music he used to make. DJ Maphorisa has been doing awesome things in the Amapiano genre.
