Two lookalike women who met on social media have discovered they are identical twins.
Cheng Keke and Zhang Li found out they were separated at birth by their single mother, who gave them up for adoption. They discovered they were twins after conducting a DNA test.
Keke confirmed the heartwarming news on ByteDance’s Douyin social media video platform on Thursday, April 29, the South China Morning Post reported.
“I successfully got an elder sister today," Keke happily said.
Keke, a mother of one, had in January been informed by her sister-in-law that a teacher at Kaifeng city resembled her with her close relatives, even unable to differentiate them.
The 29-year-old then decided to reach out to Zhang Li and was amazed at how they looked alike.
Besides taking after each other, the duo uncovered they were born in the same month in the same year and had the same blood type, food preference, dress style, and put on a similar dressing style.
A month after they met, the two videos called each other and were shocked at their resemblance.
“Am I looking at a mirror?" Zhang posed.
Since her birth, Keke had never suspected she was adopted but took the courage to ask her mother the tough question after interacting with Li.
While her mother at first denied the claims, she later confirmed her fears.
After the revelation, Keke and Li met a day later and were really excited to reunite 29 years later.

Briefly News previously reported that the Qwabe twins hit the big time when they appeared on Idols SA a few years ago. They did enough to impress DJ Tira who scooped them up and made them stars.
Recently, the twins had Mzansi talking again and their physical appearance has glowed all the way up.
