Mduduzi Mabaso Speaks on What Convinced Him to Join 'Diep City'

Mzansi actor Mduduzi Mdakane has revealed what led him to join the telenovela that has been taking the country by storm, Diep City. Since Rhythm City is coming to an end, actors who were part of the show are wondering what their next move will be, but Mduduzi is set.

Diep City started airing on Mzansi Magic at the beginning of April and the show is already a hit among viewers. Mduduzi opened up about why he decided to take this role to Tagged magazine.

"I was convinced to take this role because of the way the Mandla N works. We do not have a lot of shows like this in the country," said Mduduzi.

Mduduzi feels that a lot of telenovelas in South Africa have the same storyline so he liked the freshness that Diep City brings to the table.

"If we're committed to edutainment, we must reflect on the lives of people on the ground too," he said.

The actor plays the character of Bra Elliot on the show and is happy to take on something different. Fans are already loving his character and want to see how the story unfolds.

In other Mzansi television news, Briefly News reported that TK Dlamini straightened up the rumours about Mastermind's appearance on Uzalo. Fans were happy to see TK Dlamini's character Mastermind back on Uzalo but it was only meant to be for the short term.

Viewers were sad to see MaNgcobo go but were comforted by knowing that Mastermind would be back. They were in for some more disappointment as TK Dlamini revealed that Mastermind was only meant to be back to a few episodes. He's not going to be a regular on Uzalo again.

A fan took to social media to ask if they had been taken for a ride since Mastermind is not in the May teasers of Uzalo.
