Bafana Bafana rounded off a flawless international camp with a 1-0 friendly victory over Egypt in Cairo on Sunday, completing a clean sweep of three wins from three matches during the September-October window.
Debutant Puso Dithejane, 22, scored the only goal of the match in the 51st minute, opening his senior international account in the process. The Chicago Fire winger capitalised on a scramble between an Egyptian defender and goalkeeper, stealing possession before coolly slotting into an empty net.
President Cyril Ramaphosa was among the dignitaries watching from the stands in Cairo as the result was confirmed.
Bafana Bafana cap perfect window
The victory over Egypt followed back-to-back 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying wins over Guinea and Eritrea earlier in the window. Pitso Mosimane's squad have now gone through the entire camp without dropping a single match, providing significant momentum heading into the next round of fixtures.

Analyst highlights three key performers
Football analyst Themba Modise spoke exclusively to Briefly News after the final whistle, naming the three players who caught his eye against the Pharaohs.
"Bafana Bafana produced another splendid performance tonight, and I am happy we got revenge against Egypt after what they did to us at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco," Modise said.
He identified Dithejane, defender Seema, and substitute goalkeeper Ricardo Goss as the standout performers.
"The players were awesome, but three of them stood out for me: Puso Dithejane, for getting the only goal; Seema, for being a rock in defence; and Ricardo Goss, for putting in an awesome performance when he came on for Sipho Chaine. He was one of the reasons the match didn't end in a draw," Modise added.
Goss entered as a substitute for Sipho Chaine and, according to Modise, played a decisive role in preserving the narrow lead in the closing stages.
Amajita coach calls for more preparation time ahead of AFCON
Briefly News previously reported that Amajita coach Raymond Mdaka wants significantly more preparation time ahead of the 2027 U20 Africa Cup of Nations after South Africa successfully defended its COSAFA U20 Championship title.
Mdaka said Amajita had only about a week to prepare for COSAFA, with the tournament falling outside the FIFA calendar and several players still completing their matric examinations.
