MacG has dropped a bombshell about media personality Shamiso Mosaka and her partner Speedsta, claiming the couple have an outstanding warrant for their arrest in Botswana. The revelation has left social media peeps equal parts amused and stunned.

The controversial podcaster and entrepreneur shared the information during the 26 October 2026 episode of Podcast and Chill, saying he heard it from one of his network's podcasters. That individual had reportedly been called in to fill in for Shamiso on Read the Room, the podcast she co-hosts alongside Londie London and Phil Mphela, after she was unable to travel to Botswana.

What allegedly happened in Botswana

According to MacG's fact-checker, the situation stems from a booking gone wrong. The couple were reportedly hired and fully paid upfront for an event in Botswana but did not show up. When the promoter demanded a refund, things reportedly turned sour.

"They were allegedly booked for an event and fully paid; however, they failed to show up," the fact-checker shared. "The promoter claimed that their refusal to refund their booking fees is why they are being arrested."

Podcast and Chill co-host Sol Phenduka weighed in, saying he struggles to understand how artists find themselves in this kind of situation, arguing it is far simpler to just return the money when a booking falls through.

The timing of the allegations has not been lost on netizens. Just days before MacG's claims, Shamiso and Speedsta appeared on the Music Pulse Podcast, where their behaviour prompted widespread speculation online that the pair may have been intoxicated during the recording.

The Botswana story has now added another layer to the scrutiny surrounding the couple, with X users connecting the dots between Shamiso's absence from the Botswana trip and the alleged warrant. However, no official law enforcement agency or legal body in Botswana or South Africa has confirmed any active warrant for the couple.
