DJ Speedsta and his partner Shamiso Mosaka have found themselves at the centre of online chatter after a clip from their appearance on the Music Pulse Podcast went viral. The footage, which surfaced on X, showed the couple's chaotic exit from the set and left many viewers seriously unimpressed.
The episode, which aired on 12 October 2026, featured Speedsta and Shamiso serving as guests on the podcast alongside co-hosts Sfiso Ndlovu and Nota Baloyi. The group had been deep in a conversation about South Africa's top DJs when Speedsta attempted to wrap things up and thank the hosts for having them. Sfiso and Nota, however, convinced the pair to stick around a little longer.
What kicked off the tension
Things took a turn during a lighthearted debate between Sfiso and Nota over how to correctly pronounce the name of legendary DJ Louie Vega. Sfiso said "Louis," prompting Speedsta to cheekily call him out on it. Sfiso corrected himself but then shot back, pointing out that in Italy the name is indeed pronounced "Louis" - and directing that clapback squarely at Speedsta.

The hip hop DJ was quick to clarify that Sfiso had been arguing with Nota, not him, and told Sfiso co-host to back off, adding that as a "cheese boy from the Vaal" who grew up around people of various nationalities, he did not need a lesson in how to pronounce Louie Vega's name.
Shortly after, Shamiso gathered her belongings and walked off set. Speedsta followed, but not without stumbling on his way out. Both had been holding cups throughout the recording, and the combination of their abrupt departures and Speedsta's sharp remarks led viewers to speculate that the couple had been drinking heavily before and during the shoot.
