Sithelo Shozi has set social media alight after a series of candid comments under a TikTok video about child support quickly took on a life of their own - and now Andile Mpisane is firing back.
It started when the popular influencer and Masked SA judge stumbled across a post from a fellow mother venting about her struggle to secure financial support for her children. Sithelo's reply was brief but instantly loaded with meaning: "...6 years and counting." The comment spread rapidly, with the public drawing an immediate line between her words and her co-parenting arrangement with musician and Royal AM chairman Andile Mpisane.
Rather than retreat, Sithelo leaned further into the conversation. When the video's creator offered sympathy, she reframed her position, describing the act of raising her daughters as her "ministry" and life's purpose. She also took a pointed swipe at a contrast she clearly felt needed highlighting.
"Fortunately for us, we're also blessed through grace, just highlighting that some people present something, whereas they're absolute deadbeats."

Adding fuel to the fire, a follower asked whether her two daughters live at the well-known Mpisane family estate, widely dubbed the "White House." Sithelo shut that notion down without hesitation, writing simply: "They have never lived there."
It is worth noting that Sithelo is a mother of three - her eldest son is shared with businessman Makhosini Phillip Maseko, while her two daughters are with Mpisane. She is also expecting her first child with her husband, Kudzaishe James Magura.

Andile Mpisane's official response
On Wednesday evening, 14 October 2026, Mpisane released a formal statement, choosing to address the swirling narrative without mentioning Sithelo by name.
He pushed back firmly against what he described as unfair public judgement, insisting that his conduct as a father deserves to be assessed on more than rumour.
"I believe it is important to set the record straight: my responsibilities and commitment as a father should not be judged on the basis of speculation, assumptions or one-sided narratives," he said.
On the financial front, Mpisane stated that he actively contributes to his children's education and school fees. He also shed light on why he has been less present in their day-to-day lives, revealing that access to his children had previously been limited.
"It is also important to acknowledge that my access to my children has been limited, and I have only recently had the opportunity to reconnect with them," he explained.
Defending his prolonged public silence, Mpisane said he deliberately kept family matters out of the media to protect his children. His closing words were direct:
"My decision to remain silent about private family matters should never be mistaken for a lack of responsibility, love or commitment... Ultimately, my commitment as a father should be judged by the facts, my actions, and my continued efforts, not by speculation or unfounded assumptions."
