Fans were happy to see TK Dlamini's character Mastermind back on Uzalo but it was only meant to be for the short term. Viewers were sad to see MaNgcobo go but were comforted thinking that Mastermind would be back.
They were in for some more disappointment as TK Dlamini revealed that Mastermind was only meant to be back for a few episodes. He's not going to be a regular on Uzalo again.
A fan took to social media to ask if they had been taken for a ride since Mastermind is not in the May teasers of Uzalo and TK replied to the tweet, saying:
"That was the arch... Mastermind was only back to assist MaNgcobo and leave again. Thanks to everyone that watched."
Viewers felt betrayed and really thought they'd be seeing TK regularly on screens again. It was not meant to be and he's still not going to return.
TK previously said that he originally left Uzalo because he wanted to focus on his baby girl with fellow actress Jessica Nkosi. He had to set the record straight back then and is still on the same wave now - he doesn't plan on making a return to the soapie.
In other entertainment news, Briefly News reported that Dawn Thandeka King bowed out of Uzalo in dramatic footage. Mzansi actress Dawn Thandeka King has made her official exit from Uzalo and she posted footage of her last scene on social media.
Dawn has been playing the role of MaNgcobo on the soapie for a while now but she's moved on to a new role on Diep City. Dawn described her last moments on Uzalo as the "end of the road" and was just as emotional to be saying goodbye.
Just a few weeks ago, Dawn took to social media to thank SABC and Stained Glass for giving her the opportunity to play the role.
