Television personality Tsekeleke found himself at the centre of a social media storm after his pants fell during a recording of Moja Love's reality show 012Love, with his underwear also slipping in the process.

The clip, which aired on 15 August 2026, shows the moment Tsekeleke's trousers dropped, partially exposing him on camera. The footage spread rapidly across X after an X account @Londie_London reposted it with the caption, "This is so wrong, poor Tsekeleke 😢😢😢 #012Love."

Her sympathy for Tsekeleke did not stop the clip from going viral, drawing hundreds of thousands of views and igniting a fierce debate about dignity and exploitation on reality television.

Moja Love under fire

What has infuriated many viewers is not merely the incident itself, but the apparent decision by producers to leave the footage in the final broadcast rather than edit it out. Critics argue the channel prioritised ratings over the dignity of its cast member.

The backlash taps into a broader frustration among viewers who feel Moja Love consistently places vulnerable or working-class South Africans in situations that make for dramatic viewing at their own expense. Tsekeleke, who is a well-known personality in South African entertainment circles, has previously been the subject of viral moments on the channel, prompting repeat calls from fans to treat him with greater respect on screen.

Moja Love had not publicly addressed the controversy at the time of the clip's circulation.

@TK_Rammutla weighed in, writing: "Moja love is making a lot of money from dehumanising black communities. Tsekeleke is not the only victim of moja lovešŸ’”"
