The family drama surrounding rapper Emtee has taken a sharp turn, with his father breaking his silence on a bitter falling-out with the star's girlfriend, Nandi Moncho, as the Roll Up hitmaker remains behind bars after his bail was revoked.

Speaking to TshisaLIVE, Lumkile Ndevu explained that the trouble began when Nandi and her mother visited the family's apartment to discuss what arrangements were being made regarding Emtee's situation.

The agreement that fell apart

Ndevu said Nandi and her parents came asking about their plans. When they could not say them, a fight ensued. The rapper's father said they had no plans to get him out of jail, so since that was the case, they requested for his personal belongings.

According to Ndevu, both parties agreed that Nandi would hand over Emtee's belongings along with his car. However, when the family arrived the next day to collect everything, the situation deteriorated rapidly.

"The following day we went there to collect the stuff, but Nandi did not allow us to come in. She started swearing at us, insulting and threatening us," Ndevu alleged.

The family subsequently reported the matter to the police.

Nandi Moncho fires back

Moncho, however, tells a very different story. A protection order application filed by her and seen by the news publication claims she was verbally attacked by Emtee's father at the Rivonia home she shares with the rapper. She said she asked for written consent from the rapper; when they did not give her, they allegedly called her derogatory names,

The confrontation between the two families comes as Emtee's legal troubles deepen. The rapper made a brief court appearance at the Midrand Magistrate's Court on Monday, where his bail was revoked and he was returned to custody. He had originally been granted R1,000 bail on 11 June after spending a night at the Midrand police station, following an alleged breach of a protection order.

With both sides now trading allegations and the matter in the hands of the authorities, the conflict between Emtee's family and Moncho shows no sign of resolution as the rapper remains in custody.
