DJ Tira thought he had the perfect clap back. Instead, Mzansi's eagle-eyed fans turned his own evidence against him.
The Makoya Bearings DJ posted a Louis Vuitton invoice on X on Monday, 24 August 2026, captioning it with the Zulu phrase "Ngididiswe yini?" — loosely translated as "What am I being confused about?" The receipt, from Louis Vuitton's Sandton City store in Johannesburg, showed a purchase of R49,500 made under the name Tira Khathi, paid via Mastercard.
The drama that started it all
The post came in response to South African comedian Tall A$$ Mo, who had publicly accused Tira of rocking counterfeit Louis Vuitton sneakers. Things escalated quickly when Tall A$$ Mo exposed a WhatsApp message in which Tira reportedly wrote, "Bro please remove these posts 🙏🙏🙏," sent at 12:41. X user @bongyluaziey amplified the screenshots, and the exchange spread rapidly across the platform.

Tira hit back directly at the comedian: "Why does a person who will never own an LV sneaker tell me my sneaker is fake?"
Then came the receipt, which he clearly intended to be the final word. But it wasn't.
Mzansi spots the catch
Fans quickly noticed that the Louis Vuitton receipt was timestamped 14:57 on 24 August 2026 — the same day the post went up. Rather than proving he already owned the sneakers, it looked to some like he had gone out to buy them specifically to counter the allegations.
