Limpopo Boy has finally spoken out about the private video scandal that rocked Mzansi, and his reason for filming the clip may surprise many.
The dancer, whose real name is Matome Robert Thoka, sat down with Podcast and Chill on 27 August 2027 to address the burning question that has lingered since the video surfaced: why did he record himself and his lover, Matshidiso Matilda, in the first place?
According to the dancer, the decision to film was not reckless but rather a calculated move to shield himself. He explained that he had been through two separate incidents where women extorted money from him after consensual encounters, leaving him deeply wary of being put in that position again.
One of those situations cost him dearly.

"The first girl was working with the police. She shared the money with the police, and I let it slide. It was R50,000 or me behind bars."

Limpopo Boy added that his lifestyle fuels these situations, noting that women often assume his frequent international travels are a sign of significant wealth, which makes him a target. Filming, he argued, was his way of protecting himself should Matshidiso later make any demands.
The dancer ended by emphasising that "This is South Africa," where high crime rates and the country's infamous reputation as the "rape capital" of the world make men particularly fearful of false allegations.
He had previously released a statement claiming he was unaware that Matshidiso was married at the time of their encounter.
