Bohang Moeko has some strong words about what marriage has done for him, and he didn't hold back when sharing his thoughts on a recent podcast appearance.

Speaking on the Engineer Your Life With Lungelo KM podcast, the actor and producer reflected candidly on how tying the knot has reshaped him as a person. Seated in a warmly lit, cosy studio, Moeko spoke with the kind of sincerity that made the conversation feel less like an interview and more like a heart-to-heart.

How marriage has shaped Bohang Moeko

Moeko was clear that his wife's influence runs deep. He went further, admitting that without her, his trajectory would have looked very different. He said:

"Marriage has 100% made me a more mature man, a more responsible man. It's strengthened me and grown me spiritually. It's made me realise that without my wife, I wouldn't be where I am right now."

The Isibaya star described marriage the way many describe life itself, beautiful but not without its rough edges. He compared it to seasons, acknowledging that the difficult stretches serve a purpose.

"All of those challenges and tough moments I feel are all designed to shape you into the person that you meant to be. It continually [prunes] and [shapes] me into the best version of me and the version of me that I need to be in order to be the best husband, the best man, the best actor, the best producer."

Two decisions that change everything

Moeko also put marriage into a bigger philosophical context, naming it as one of only two choices that can truly alter the course of a person's life.

"There are two decisions that affect your life. It's believing in Jesus, deciding to believe in Jesus and accepting Jesus, and who you marry. Those two decisions can alter life in the literal sense. Literally. Can determine where your life ends up."

For Moeko, his faith and his marriage are not separate pillars but deeply connected forces. He credited spiritual growth as a key factor in sustaining his career and keeping him grounded mentally and emotionally.

His honesty about the discomfort that comes with personal growth, the "pruning," as he called it, was one of the more striking moments of the conversation. The overall message from the South African entertainer was one of gratitude, describing his marriage as "one of the best decisions" he has ever made.
