The clip, shared by @busiwe_bubu, captures the influencer and businesswoman in full jet-setting mode, and Mzansi has plenty to say about it.

Thabethe, who boasts 2.2 million followers on Instagram, built her public profile through modelling, television presenting, and a carefully curated lifestyle brand. She is currently pregnant with her third child.

Surname drop and assets on the market

The video resurfaced just as X user @sanelenkosiii pointed out that Thabethe had quietly removed the double-barrelled "Thabethe Matsimbe" from her social media handles, reverting simply to "Ayanda Thabethe (MBA)" across platforms. Her husband's surname no longer appears anywhere on her profiles.

At the same time, the couple's assets appear to be moving. Peter Matsimbe, Ayanda's husband, has listed the 2024 Rolls-Royce Cullinan he gifted her for R14 million. Their five-bedroom Bryanston home has also been put on the market for R15 million and is reportedly already under offer, despite being valued at over R24 million. It is also claimed that Ayanda has been spending much of her pregnancy at the home of her younger sister Lungile, rather than the family property.

Neither Ayanda nor Peter Matsimbe has publicly addressed the separation rumours.
