Former radio host and activist Ngizwe Mchunu has gone viral after posting a personal video message addressed to Jacinta Ngobese-Zuma, urging his ally Phakelumthakathi not to take their feud with her any further. The clip, shared on 12 October 2026, has sparked a fierce debate online about loyalty, gratitude, and the inner workings of the anti-illegal immigration movement.

Ngizwe, Phakela, and Jacinta were once united at the front of the March and March movement, which organised marches across South Africa to protest illegal immigration. Their alliance eventually collapsed, with tensions spilling into public jabs between the parties.

Ngizwe Breaks His Silence on the Jacinta Fallout

In the selfie-style TikTok video, shot against a sage-green wall and watermarked with the "PREMIUM ZULU" logo, Ngizwe spoke directly to the camera in a heartfelt, rambling address. He expressed frustration that despite their contributions to the movement alongside Jacinta, they were met with insults rather than appreciation.

"Your contribution to the entire society of South Africa and to the entire nation will never go unnoticed. We respect you, and I love you, and you know it," he said, seemingly directing the words at Jacinta.

He stopped short of retaliating, however, explaining that digging into her personal life was not something he was willing to do. His reasoning? Jacinta is friends with his wives. The admission gave the video an unexpectedly personal dimension that viewers latched onto quickly.

Not everyone was moved by Ngizwe's apparent goodwill. Many social media users felt he and Phakela were overstating their role in the movement and were simply chasing relevance.

@Guru__ZN wrote: "Udakiwe lo. They were not invited, bazizela bona. Phakela washo wathi bazizela. Uma ufuna ukubongwa akaye ku Ramaphosa."

@Simamke23 was equally unimpressed, posting twice: "Ey ey ey abayeke u Jacinta laba bafuna ukubongwa ngani? They're not doing u Jacinta any favour for standing up. Kanti yizwe la Jacinta yedwa yini. Ngizwe ufuna ukuba relevant ngo JACINTA NX!"

The response from peeps largely sided with Jacinta, with many questioning whether Ngizwe's video was genuinely about peace or simply an attempt to stay in the public conversation by attaching himself to her name.
