The video, posted by @theshaya1826, breaks down Christel House South Africa, offering a funded private school for learners from under-resourced communities in Cape Town. What caught people off guard was the scope of what "free" actually means here. Tuition is covered, but so are uniforms, textbooks and daily meals, meaning families carry virtually no educational costs at all.

Learners are admitted from Grade R, and the school's support does not stop at matric. Graduates can receive assistance for up to five years after finishing school, which may include help with tertiary applications, monthly stipends and employment mentoring.

Who qualifies for Christel House SA?

Admission is not open to all according to Christel House's admission page. Families must fall below a strict income threshold, and learners must live within a designated Cape Town catchment area. The school specifically targets children from communities that have historically had limited access to quality education.
