A Nairobi mother spent five of the most terrifying days of her life searching for her four-year-old son after he went missing in Huruma. The boy’s disappearance sent the family into a desperate scramble, and the community rallied around them as the search stretched on for nearly a week.

Five days of searching in Huruma

The child vanished from the Huruma area, leaving his mother frantic with worry. As hours turned into days with no news, the family leaned on neighbours and community members to help comb the area. The search was emotionally exhausting, with each passing day bringing fresh anxiety about where the young boy could be and whether he was safe.
