The March and March leader made the emphatic statement after sharing footage of the two Airlink jets that flew over the DHL Stadium in Cape Town. The jets performed a jaw-dropping low-altitude flyover that left fans in the stands breathless before the Springboks faced the All Blacks.

The planes flew as low as 12 to 14 metres above the stadium roof, one painted in Springbok green and the other in All Blacks black, trailing coloured smoke as fireworks lit up the air around them. The moment was part of a proud South African rugby tradition that dates back to the 1995 Rugby World Cup final.

Jacinta Ngobese-Zuma shared the footage on Facebook on 1 September 2026, adding her own caption expressing great national pride. She compared the spectacle to celebrations in the United States, framing it as proof that South Africa was unmatched.
