GAUTENG - South Africans are even more convinced that a serial killer is on the loose after a woman allegedly escaped an attempted kidnapping in Kempton Park.
The incident reportedly happened on Sunday, 13 May 2026, a day before a woman's half-naked body was discovered in the area. Five women's bodies have been discovered in the vicinity of Kempton Park within the past two months.
The latest incident raises fresh alarm in a community already shaken by a series of disturbing discoveries in the area. The woman made her way to Kempton Park Police Station on 14 September 2026, where she gave a formal statement to authorities.

Body discovered in Olifantsfontein
Hours after the alleged escape, the body of a half-naked woman was found in Olifantsfontein on Monday morning. Police described the death as a fresh murder, indicating it was likely committed either late on Sunday night or in the early hours of Monday morning.
A separate missing persons report was filed on Sunday, but the South African Police Service (SAPS) has not confirmed whether the missing woman and the deceased are the same person.
