Kaizer Chiefs coach, Giovanni Solinas, feels 21 year old defender, Siyabonga Ngezana, could easily have been selected for the national team. Solinas said "He's strong, fast, a good header of the ball, he has good aggression. So, this guy, in my opinion, has everything for a good career, and to play for Bafana Bafana. I repeat, this is my opinion."

Following Chiefs’ opening 2 fixtures, the youngster has played in all of their games. Although his primary job is keeping attackers at bay, the towering defender has been in great goal-scoring form with 2 goals in 3 games last month.

Solinas reiterated his respect for Bafana coach Stuart Baxter but feels he hasn’t seen many defenders as strong as Ngezana. He joined the Glamour Boys in August 2016 and offers the versatility of playing either at centre-back or right-back.

Bafana Bafana face Seychelles in a double header as part of their AFCON qualifying campaign. Briefly.co.za gathered that Ngezana may have been unfortunate not to have been selected but it only seems a matter of time based on Solinas’ glowing recommendation.
