  • Siya Kolisi’s ex-wife joined fans in celebrating JP Duminy’s daughter’s birthday on Instagram
  • Duminy’s ex-wife, Sue, ignored the post, just as she did with his previous daughter’s birthday in August
  • Duminy and Sue’s split earlier this year continues to cast a shadow, despite both moving on with their lives

The ex-wife of Springboks captain Siya Kolisi, Rachel, was among those who reacted to former Proteas batsman JP Duminy’s Instagram birthday post celebrating his daughter Alexa-Rose.

In August, Rachel had also commented on another post when Duminy celebrated his other daughter, Issabella, whom he shares with his ex-wife, Sue.

JP and Sue Duminy ended their marriage in February

Just like in August, Sue chose not to react or comment on the post. This silence highlights the acrimonious nature of the divorce that ended her marriage to Duminy.

Earlier this year, in February, Duminy and Sue jointly announced their divorce, ending their 14-year marriage. The couple, who tied the knot in 2011, share two daughters.

While the reasons behind their separation remain private, both have moved forward in their personal lives. Duminy has focused on family, coaching, and business ventures, while Sue appears to have healed and recently found love again.

Once considered a power couple in cricket and lifestyle circles, Duminy and Sue often shared glimpses of their family life and travels. By late 2023, however, speculation of marital strain had grown, and their legal separation was confirmed in February 2025.

Take a look at the beautiful post below:

On Duminy’s previous birthdays, Sue had posted public tributes, but this year she remained silent. Since retiring from international cricket in 2019, Duminy has remained active in the sport as a coach and commentator, with a growing emphasis on mentorship and business development.

Sue, a former model and lifestyle blogger, has maintained a low profile since the divorce, sharing only a few pictures with her new partner while keeping most of her personal life private.
