Cricket World Cup 2027 ticket applications are officially open, giving fans worldwide their first chance to register for matches at next year’s tournament in South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia.
The ballot opened on 1 October 2026 alongside the release of the official tournament schedule. The International Cricket Council (ICC) has stressed that supporters do not need to rush to enter because the process is not first-come, first-served.
The Proteas also urged supporters to get involved. In a post on X on 2 October, Proteas Men said: “THE ROAD TO #CWC27 STARTS HERE!” The team directed fans towards the official ticket ballot as anticipation builds for the tournament.

How the Cricket World Cup 2027 ballot works
Entry into the ballot is free, and fans can apply for multiple matches. Each match is a separate ballot entry, and supporters can request up to four tickets for a match and choose their preferred ticket category.
Where applications exceed the available allocation for a particular fixture, a randomised ballot will determine which successful applicants receive the opportunity to buy tickets.
Importantly, entering the ballot does not guarantee a ticket.
The official ticketing platform states that successful applicants will later receive an email explaining how and when they can purchase the tickets allocated to them.
World Cup ticket ballot deadline
Fans can submit applications until 23:59 SAST on 21 November 2026. All valid entries submitted during the ballot period will be considered equally, regardless of when they were made.
Supporters will be notified by email whether their applications have been successful or unsuccessful.
The ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2027 will feature 14 teams across 57 matches and 12 venues in the three host countries. The tournament runs from 2 October to 21 November 2027, with the final scheduled for Johannesburg.
For fans hoping to attend, the key step is to enter the official ballot before the November deadline.
