South Africa delivered a commanding performance, defeating the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations champions 3-1 at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Gqeberha.

Mbule has been a new player since joining the Soweto giants in the summer. He has continued to produce top-notch performances for both the Sea Robbers and Bafana Bafana.

Mbule shares what Broos told them

Mbule shared that Hugo Broos stressed the importance of treating their friendly against Zambia seriously, emphasising that there was no such thing as a ‘friendly’ and that the team should prepare with full focus for the upcoming AFCON.

The former Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder said the coach urged the players to give their all, and he believes everyone followed that instruction during the 3-1 victory over Zambia.

He expressed happiness at being back in the national team and highlighted the ambition to perform strongly at AFCON, recalling how the previous squad finished third.

Mbule added that with the quality of players, the coaching staff and the overall team setup, Bafana Bafana now have what it takes to go all out in the tournament.

Mbule's performance against Zambia sparked reactions from Pirates fans as they trolled Kaizer Chiefs supporters who are expecting him to flop against the Chipolopolo.
