The Al Nassr forward, 41, confirmed the news by posting a photograph on his Instagram account showing the couple's hands adorned with wedding bands, accompanied by the simple caption: "C ❤ G." The Brunswick Group told AFP that the five children the couple share were present at the private ceremony.
A decade in the making
The wedding marked the culmination of a relationship that began in 2016, when Rodriguez, now 32, was employed at a Gucci store in Madrid. Rodriguez has since described that first encounter as "love at first sight."

In a 2025 interview with Vogue Arabia, she recalled feeling "a sense of peace and an inexplicable energy" with Ronaldo almost immediately, "as if we had known each other forever."
The ceremony took place precisely one year after Rodriguez publicly announced their engagement on Instagram. The couple own a villa in Cascais, making the elite seaside destination a fitting and personal choice.
Speculation and a false start in Funchal
In the days preceding the wedding, Portuguese media widely speculated that the ceremony could take place either in Sintra, near Lisbon, or in Funchal, the capital of Madeira and Ronaldo's birthplace.
Reports pointing to Funchal drew hundreds of people to the city's cathedral over the weekend, hopeful of catching a glimpse of the couple. The cathedral subsequently clarified to AFP that no such ceremony was scheduled, though it noted that hosting the event would have been "an honour."
The couple ultimately chose Cascais, away from the speculation surrounding Madeira.
