Brave Grade 11 student swoops in on bicycle to save fellow student

A Grade 11 pupil, Dylan Harris, bravely ran to the rescue of his fellow schoolmate, Christine Gazi, when he saw her come under attack. He didn't stop to think about his safety and gave Christine a chance to flee. What a brave young man!

The story of a brave young man is making rounds on social media. Dylan Harris, a Grade 11 student, has been hailed a hero after he rushed to Christine Gazi's rescue on 29 January.

The Grade 10 girl was attacked by an unidentified person. Dylan was on his way to school when he saw the attack.

The young man didn't think twice and quickly intervened, pushing himself and his bicycle between the attacker and Christine.

This gave the frightened girl the chance to run away while Dylan and the attacker got into a scuffle.

Dylan wasn't injured too seriously during the incident, but his phone was stolen by the assailant before he fled.

However, he has been offered a new phone and is now just fine, knowing he could help Christine.

Both students are from Secunda High, and their story has been shared on social media.
