Public Protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane has suffered yet another legal defeat at a time where the nation's attention is centred on her.

Briefly.co.za reported that the Pretoria High Court has ordered the Public Protector to pay costs in the Estina dairy debacle in both her professional and personal capacity.

The Democratic Alliance, who brought the matter to court, is adamant that this latest defeat is proof that Mkhwebane should be removed, with Chief Whip John Steenhuisen commenting that:

"Today’s ruling by the North Gauteng High Court on the Public Protector Mkhwebane’s report into the Estina Dairy matter, makes it clear that Parliament can no longer delay the removal proceedings against her."
