Johnny spent a lot of time with Sipho and held Sipho’s family home dear to his heart, making it the perfect place to perform the ritual.

The ritual that was performed was a traditional Zulu process that helps one's soul pass over to their ancestors in peace.

Taking to social media, Jesse shared a few pictures and expressed what a magical and special moment it was and how he knows his father loved it.

Veteran musician, Johnny Clegg, was laid to rest in a private ceremony attended by family and friends in Johannesburg on Wednesday, 17 July 2019.

The cause of Johnny’s death was linked to the singer-songwriter’s pancreatic cancer, which first occurred in 2015.
