  1. Wash the gem and cut it into two halves.
  2. Remove all the seeds and pith from each piece using a spoon.
  3. Preheat the oven to 200 °C before stuffing your squash. Remember to clear any baking pans from inside the pan and place your oven rack in the middle for evenly baking.
  4. Now sprinkle salt and black pepper to each cut half.
  5. Place them on a roasting pan and allow baking for 15 minutes.
  6. In another pan, add oil and chopped onions. Sauté for 3 minutes.
