The popular and talented actress was born on October 27, 1977. Tessa Jubber education is quite impressive. She attended Wynberg Girls’ from Sub A (Grade 1) in 1984. While at school, she studied ballet with Carol Shapiro-Dodds. She also engaged in drama as an extra-mural under Jaqueline Dommisse, Penelope Glover, and Peter Hayes. The actress attained a BA and Performer’s Diploma in Speech and Drama from UCT.
Career
After completing her studies, she started working in theater in productions such as The Graduate, Equus, and The Mousetrap. Tessa played Desdemona in Othello in 2001 and Portia in The Merchant of Venice in 2008 at the Maynardville Open-Air Theater.
After a move to Johannesburg, she was cast as Erin McPherson on SABC3 Isidingo, for which she is still widely recognized. A television highlight was a role in the BBC production Wallander, with Kenneth Branagh in 2008. Tessa’s film credits include Stander, Drum, Diana, Catching Feelings, Hector, the Search for Happiness (2014), and, more recently, The Girl from St. Agnes (2019). In March, earlier this year, she was interviewed in Woman & Home with two other cast members about her role in this Show-max series.
