A stunning South African artist shared her breathtaking portrait of Miss South Africa 2020 Shudufhadzo Musida. Julie Wessels shared her stunning artwork to the #ImStaying group on Facebook.
Julie said she drew the portrait of our new Miss SA to honour Shudu's strength and pure authenticity. Julie believes that Shudu's authenticity shines across the oceans and that she's already touching hearts around the world while advocating for important causes.
Little girl busting moves sets the TL ablaze, Mzansi can't deal with the footwork: "Born for this kinda vibe"
Julie shared a quote by Shudu about mental health illnesses at the end of the inspiring post accompanying her drawing.
The Shudu quote shared by Julie reads:
“I would call my movement the Mindful Movement. Suicide is one of the leading causes of death between people aged 15 and 29 and one out of three people are expected to suffer from mental illnesses in their lifetime.
"So, I believe that mobilising people to strive for mental health would actually fix so many social ills in our society and that is what I would mobilise."
Briefly.co.za took a look at some of the responses to Julie's post.

"That is a stunning talent. Thank you for doing it to raise awareness of her cause."

Briefly.co.za previously reported on Julie after she drew an amazing portrait of President Cyril Ramaphosa. The head of state has done the most to ensure the safety of South Africans during this time and he has been met with mixed reactions.
However, Julie wanted to pay tribute to President Ramaphosa for taking difficult, but necessary, decisions to combat the coronavirus. The talented artist completed a pencil sketch of the president and shared it on the #ImStaying Facebook page. Her post read:
"I've done this sketch in honour of our president - all my trust is in our country's leadership to help keep citizens safe during this stressful time and that's also why #ImStaying. Thank you."
