Minnie Dlamini, Simz Ngema and 2 celebs who fell pregnant in 2020

Becoming a parent is a wonderful gift and this was the case for a number of Mzansi celebrities this year. Motherhood is a thrilling journey for many and has some bumpy rides on the road but children make it worthwhile.

Briefly.co.za put together a list of four celebrities who fell pregnant in 2020.

The journey to motherhood comes with its own challenges but there are a few Mzansi celebrities who made it look easy and radiant. Briefly.co.za takes a look at celebrities who had buns in the oven this year.

1. Minnie Dlamini-Jones

The media personality got married to her husband Quinton Jones in 2017 in a beautiful ceremony and left Mzansi wondering when they would start a family. Minnie announced that she was expecting her first child with her hubby in September 2020.

She eventually gave birth to a baby boy named Netha Makhosini Jones a few months later. Minnie was elated and was glowing throughout her pregnancy.

2. Simphiwe Ngema

Hearts were broken all over Mzansi when Simz Ngema lost her husband Dumi Masilela in 2017. Over some time, Simz moved on and began a relationship with Tino Chinyani.

She then announced that she was having a baby when she posted pictures from a maternity shoot on her Instagram account.

Mzansi's social media users were happy that Simz had moved on. She gave birth to her baby boy Tiyani Chinyani in June 2020.

3. Zenande Mfenyana

The Queen actress Zenande Mfenyana confirmed that she was expecting a baby girl back in May 2020. At first, she was coy about the fact that she was pregnant but she eventually started sharing the journey with her followers on social media.

"I thought I would have cut my hair by now but I figured my daughter picked me like this when she was choosing her mama, so the locks stay," said Zenande.

4. Pearl Modiadie

The television presenter keeps her life out of the spotlight for the most part but she confirmed that she was pregnant in June 2020. Pearl admitted to the media that she had been expecting but said that she would not be revealing any more details about the baby or her mysterious partner.

Her reasoning for not sharing more was that her culture did not permit her to do so. Pearl only recently shared glimpses of her motherhood journey on social media.
