The year 2020 left many families in grief as death was abundant. DJ Maphorisa was one of those who felt the pain of losing a loved one.
According to the Daily Sun, Maphorisa lost his dad this past Sunday.
The publication reports that Maphorisa, real name Themba Sekowe, has been in a state of grief since.
Photo took to social media on Wednesday evening to share somber pictures from what looked like the funeral. He captioned the pictures with a dove and a broken heart.
Because he didn’t explain the context, many social media users resorted to joking in his comments section. However, a few who were aware sent their condolences to the amapiano producer.

Meanwhile Briefly.co.za previously reported that Kefilwe Mabote is the latest celebrity in mourning after she announced the tragic news of her mother's passing.
The star posted a picture and caption on her social media accounts that expressed how her mother unexpectedly passed away on 30 December.
Kefilwe shared a series of photographs of her mother, whose name was Matlhodi Dorothy Mabote, and described herself as being shattered by the event.
Fans, followers and famous friends all took to the comments section to send Kefilwe love and light. They sent her their condolences and tried to console her:
