"I thought it was incredibly catchy and I thought it would be a fun song to remix. So I did a short, live looping remix and put it online. The response was great so I DM’d my remix to Bilal on Instagram and asked if he’d be keen to collab."

The pair came to an agreement and the remix was made and released. The response to the track has been amazing, according to Dave.

"The video has since made the Turkish news, started charting on Italy's Shazam Top 200 Chart and has even reached the classrooms of children in China. We’re now beginning to release the single to radio here in South Africa and I'm looking forward to see the response from fans.”

Dave is still hard at work in the studio and will be releasing new music under a solo endeavour.

"In Feb I have a new single coming out with Julia Church under my solo project "David Scott". Otherwise I think I'm keen to give the parodies a bit of a break after doing 30 last year. In terms of new singles, no Kiffness singles lined up, but keen to see what the rest of the year has to offer. You never know when inspiration might strike!"

The Kiffness did not shut down the idea of making a remix of the remix.

"I'd love to get my boy Kurt Darren to sing on it, and then get Kyle Watson on the beat. Then it would be a proper sokkie treffer!"

In other news, Briefly.co.za reported that The Kiffness released another parody clip and it's just in time for Christmas.
