Before actor Chadwick Boseman's demise, he had played his last film dubbed Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom.
The late Black Panther actor starred in the Netflix film alongside celebrated How To Get Away With Murder actress Viola Davis.
Well, months after its release, his work was honoured recently after he was nominated for a very important award.

Briefly.co.za understands the 78th Annual Golden Globe Awards nominations was announced recently in a move that saw Chadwick get a posthumously nomination.
For those in the dark, the Annual Golden Globe Awards, is a feat that celebrates the best in television and film.
According to CNN, Netflix led in both television and film nominations, with the drama Mank, leading with six nominations.
Chadwick Boseman, who died in 2020 at the age of 43 received a posthumous nomination for his role in the earlier mentioned Netflix film.
Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom film was based on an old Broadway Play created by August Wilson back in 1982.

The actor who died aged 43, succumbed after a private battle with colon cancer but he had left his imprints for the world to enjoy.
The King of Wakanda was diagnosed with the dreaded disease back in 2016 but chose to keep his condition private.
A statement released by his family stated the fallen hero used to show up to work in between chemotherapy sessions and after grueling surgeries.
The star who brought T’Challah to life was told he had stage three colon cancer which quickly progressed to stage four despite medical intervention.
Months before his demise, Chadwick’s fans got worried after he lost a lot of weight.
He was often photographed looking frail and tired but he fought till his last breath.
After learning about the star’s death, celebrities, fans and friends eulogised the late actor as a humanitarian who touched the lives of many.
People paid tribute to him through art, music, poems and many other channels.
Even kids who were fortunate enough to watch Black Panther took their time to pay their last respects to the thespian.
