- The taxi driver returned the missing items to the police station after a client left them in his car
A taxi driver has proven that there are still people with hearts of gold after he handedin items a client left in his car to the police station.
According to social media user Addrey Nathaniel, on June 3, Nathaniel Aboyo of Aboyostudios Portraits unknowingly left some items in a taxi he boarded.
The items included his camera, photo frame, a hard drive containing tons of photos belonging to clients, an album and other important gadgets.
Addrey recounts that all efforts to trace the taxi or the driver proved futile. After several days passed without a word about his items, Nathaniel Aboyo had to come to terms with his loss.
But just when he nearly gave up on finding the items, which were worth thousands, he received a call that gave him hope about humanity.
''Two weeks later, he received a call from one D/Cpl. Ernest Akora Darko (now D/Sgt) of the Tema Community 1 Police Station inviting him to pick up his items,'' Addrey revealed in the post.
Addrey recounts that the taxi driver went to deposit the equipment at the police station and proceeded to inform a local radio station to notify the general public about the found items.
In narrating how he got in touch with the rightful owner, D/Sgt Ernest Akora Darko disclosed he found Nathaniel Aboyo on Facebook.
''I opened the Facebook app on his phone and type "Nat Aboyo" in the search box. Fortunately for both parties, the photographer had shared a soft copy of the beautiful photo on his timeline earlier.''
Then he knew he was at the right place. He slid into Nathaniel's inbox and they took it from there, Addrey revealed.
