Podcast and Chill host MacG has been dropped by yet another sponsor amid his transphobia controversy. The media personality topped trending lists on Tuesday, 23 January when it was announced that he bagged a sponsorship with Studio 88 amid the drama.

The announcement resulted in mixed reactions from social media users, with many expressing disappointment that the retail store would choose to affiliate with podcast.

It seems the chain store's marketing team caught whiff of the drama. Speaking to TshisaLive, the group's marketing manager Loren Lennox stated that they have decided to cut ties with the podcast.

Meanwhile Briefly.co.za previously reported that Euphonik has come under fire on social media after he congratulated MacG for landing a sponsorship with Studio88. The podcast host was 'cancelled' by Twitter streets for allegedly making transphobic comments.

After the announcement that he bagged a partnership with Studio88, many expressed outrage. Euphonik, however, used the opportunity to congratulate him. His comment did not go down well with social media users.
